How to activate Microsoft Office or Windows by phone
Telephone activation is the method Microsoft uses when a product key can’t be activated over the internet — for example on an offline machine, a reinstall, or a hardware change. You don’t need to actually call anyone: the Confirmation ID our tool returns is exactly what the automated phone system would give you.
- Open the activation wizardLaunch any Office app, then go to File → Account → Activate. For Windows, open Settings → System → Activation. If activation fails online, Windows offers a phone option automatically.
- Choose “Telephone activation”When prompted for an activation method, select the telephone or phone option and pick any country from the list. The country you choose does not affect the result.
- Copy your Installation IDThe wizard displays a long number split into groups labelled A through G (or A–I on some versions). Type it into the field above — typing is more reliable than uploading a screenshot.
- Enter your TempcodeThis came in the email we sent to the address you used at checkout. Search your inbox for “Flixeasy” if you can’t find it, and check your spam folder.
- Get your Confirmation IDPress Get CID. Copy the number that appears and paste it back into the Microsoft wizard, then click Activate. Your product is now permanently activated on that machine.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my Installation ID?
Open any Office app and go to File → Account → Activate, then choose “Telephone activation”. For Windows, run slui 4 from the Start menu search box to open the phone activation screen directly.
Your Installation ID appears as groups of digits labelled A–G. Enter them in order, without spaces.
Where can I find my Tempcode?
Your Tempcode is included in the product email we sent to the address you entered during checkout. It usually arrives within seconds of your order.

The Get CID button doesn’t work — what should I do?
The most common cause is a mistyped Installation ID. Check every group carefully, and type the digits manually rather than uploading a screenshot — image recognition occasionally misreads similar characters.
Also make sure your Tempcode hasn’t already been used for all its activations. If the problem persists, email service@flixeasy.com and include your order number plus the Installation ID you’re using.
How long can I use the Tempcode to activate my product?
Your Tempcode works for the same number of activations you purchased. Once those are used, it expires automatically.
There is no time limit before that point — a Tempcode doesn’t expire on a date, only when its activations are spent.
Do I need to call Microsoft?
No. The tool above returns the same Confirmation ID that Microsoft’s automated phone line would read out to you. You can skip the call entirely and paste the number straight into the wizard.
Can I use the same key on a new computer?
That depends on the licence type you bought. Retail licences can generally be moved to a new machine after being removed from the old one; OEM licences are tied to the original hardware.

Is my Installation ID stored anywhere?
No. The Installation ID is used only to generate your Confirmation ID at the moment you press the button. We don’t keep it, and it isn’t linked to your order record.
